The fissures had always been there. The reminders of the world that was lost. Dark, intangible glimpses into the lives that could not be lived because of something that had happened so long ago. Sometimes the fissures were small and inconvenient. Paper cuts, grease stains, long lines. Sometimes the fissures tore right through the middle of your life. The death of a child, a natural disaster, the theft of innocence. Occurrences that anyone could have told you were not meant for us, but that happened all the same.

The fissures remain. Dark reminders of what once was, and what could have been. What are we if not the fear and shame we experience on a daily basis? Is there more to this life than just our failure and pain?

This 35-track compilation serves as a glimpse into the creative process behind the two "Fissures" albums. It contains material written and recorded as early as 2017, including 5 cut songs from the production of "Fissures" (fully recorded and produced for the first time), and 30 demos from throughout the creation of the project.
